Future network Lab Researcher Job Description

 

Position Overview:

Huawei is opening a new research lab in Hong Kong (named “Future Network Theory Lab”), focusing on future network research. We are currently looking for a Researcher/Scientist with experience in network researches.The mandate of this role is to conduct world-leading research in future network related areas, seek for possible breakthrough in network theories and lead the future network innovations accordingly. This role requires the candidate to be able to work independently within a small, dynamic team, flexibly, with initiative and to take on a variety of duties when necessary and to and meet deadlines.

Open Positions:

Theory Group: Principal Researcher-1, senior Researcher-3, Lead research-1 ,Researcher-4

.System Group: Principal Researcher-1,senior Researcher-3, Lead research-2 ,Researcher-5

Research themes:

- Network science

-Internet of things

- Large scale data centers and distributed systems 

Qualifications:

Self -motivation and good communication skill.

Ph.D. with at least three (3) years of research experience, or candidate with good reputation and great achievement in the network and related areas .

For theory group

- Comprehensive knowledge of stochastic modeling, optimization, information theory, game theory, machine learning and algorithms.

For system group

- Comprehensive knowledge of protocol design and implementations, software engineering and implementations, knowledge in networking and operating system stacks, network measurements and analysis experience.

 

Responsibilities：

For researcher Lead

Supervised planning and execution of the program:

A）Set the research road map for your team, draft the proposals for different research projects.

B）Attract, retain and develop leading talent/cooperator, build a reliable and capable team.

C）Continue developing knowledge related to project work, whilst developing a broader awareness of their technical direction and understanding how technical advances can be applied to project activities.

D）Build the strategy for your team and take accountability for high quality and timely delivery.

E）Conduct millstone appraisal.

F）Deliver monthly report, conduct risk control.

Daily routines:

A) Build strong connections with our clients and partners.

B) Work closely with your team members, drive innovation.

C) Be the expert and keep abreast of the latest development in network theories/applications.
