Thank you all for letting me know that Xiaowen has passed away. We have, indeed, lost a friend, mentor, and great scientist. I have often said that one of the best things about being a professor is being taught by your students. Xiaowen, while being my student, was also my greatest teacher. I will miss him deeply. Alan”

   Alan Strahler教授对小文先生的学术与人品进行了高度评价，他将李小文称做是他自己的最伟大的老师。
